We are very excited that Ash Gibson will be sharing his creative knowledge, at our June Creative Corner, on how Brands need to communicate in the modern world. His talk is aptly titled: Brands in the Age of Reduction. With a career that has seen him win multiple awards for his Creative Director and his Design, it’s no surprise he is now a director at Emote Media.
His recent clients include The Week, Cyclist, Which?, Shortlist Media and Popbitch. Formerly Creative Director at Jack Magazine, Men’s Health during its most commercially successful period, Art Director at British GQ and Giant Magazine in New York where he won a prestigious SPD award.
Beyond magazines he has created ad campaigns, apps, corporate identities and typefaces. He has generated more content than you could imagine.
What you will learn, in his own words
“We live in a time when a brand’s ability to both create content and directly reach a target audience is extraordinary. At the same time there has never been a noisier competitive landscape within which to make yourself heard. The spaces we use to get brand messages across have become cheaper yet, simultaneously, the opportunities they present have become more precious as the market gets progressively cluttered and attention spans shrink.”
Brands in the Age of Reduction, is about how we use those spaces to get our messages across in the best possible way. It’s about the content discussion.
We look forward to seeing you there and getting the design community to talk work.
